Building Control may require an Engineer's Certificate if extensive building work/alterations are to take place. As part of our design service, if applicable, we obtain a Design Certificate and/or Supporting Statement from a local Consulting Engineers Practice. The proposed construction drawings will show compliance with the Technical Standards, a Building Warrant is then issued. The Warrant remains valid for a period of three years but can be extended in special circumstances for an additional fee. Building Warrant Fees The fees payable with applications for Building Warrant are set by
the Scottish Executive through the Building (Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations.
The fee for a particular application is based on the estimated cost of
the building works to be carried out. No reductions are allowed for DIY
elements of the work. |
